The idea for this blog was a sort of New Year’s resolution … to write about food, and eating, and eating seasonally, at least in part using stuff from the garden. A very small garden. Which is perched on a hill in Brooklyn, Wellington, New Zealand. So the seasons I’m following are southern hemisphere seasons, in case you’re confused. Anyway, if you’re reading this I hope you enjoy my eating year. Oh, and P.S., the indigenous language of NZ is Maori and in Maori ‘kapai’ = ‘good’, ‘kai’ = ‘food’, hence the blog’s name.
